DEERFIELD - Baxter Healthcare Corp. on Thursday announced the launch of generic version of Pfizer Inc.' s Zithromax, a commonly used antibiotic. Pfizer will manufacture generic azithromycin for injection, and Baxter will sell and market the product in the U.S. The launch marks the first time Baxter has been granted exclusive authorization by a pharmaceutical company to market a generic version of their brand.

VERNON HILLS - James Martin Associates Inc., a landscape architect and contractor firm in Vernon Hills, was named Best in Show at the 2006 Chicago Flower and Garden Show at Navy Pier for its "Enabling Garden" design. Created for the Arthritis Foundation, the display featured solutions such as raised beds, vertical gardens and pulleys that raise and lower baskets. Martin Associates' Heidi Sibert served as landscape architect and project manager. "Enabling Garden" earned the first perfect store in the show's 12-year history.
